Mrs. DeMarco

Welcome! My name is Mrs. DeMarco and I have been teaching since 2006. I was district model teacher for Literacy as well as Math for the Newark Public Schools. I was also model teacher for Children’s Literacy Initiative. Children’s Literacy Initiative is research-based effective practices for early literacy instruction. One of my favorite things about being a teacher is teaching a child how to read and write and watching them develop as readers and writers throughout a school year. Besides teaching in Newark, I also taught 4th grade in Caldwell, New Jersey.
I received a Master's degree from Kean University in School Counseling and I am a certified School Counselor. Not only do I want children to grow academically, but I also want them to grow socially. I believe, being a teacher is much more than the academics. I also have a Master's degree from Montclair State in School Leadership.
I look forward to working with you and your child this year. Please use this blog page as a resource. Make sure to visit the educational resources tab next to homework.
